He earned his Bachelor of Science from Kasetsart University, Thailand (1993), his Master of Science in Chemistry from Michigan Technological University (1999), and his Ph.D. from the School of Packaging, Michigan State University (2003). His research focuses on biopolymer-based films (e.g., carboxymethyl cellulose, carboxymethyl chitosan, nanocellulose), nanotechnology in packaging, and packaging solutions derived from agro-industry
