On the morning of May 20, <strong>Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka<\/strong>, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU, led a senior delegation to Tsinghua SIGS for high-level talks focused on talent development, graduate research cooperation, and educational innovation in the Belt and Road era.<\/p>\n<p>The symposium was hosted by <strong>Professor Zuo Jian\u2019e<\/strong>, Vice Dean of Tsinghua SIGS. Both leaders exchanged visions for future cooperation, grounded in mutual respect and aligned ambitions.<\/p>\n<h3>Strategic Education with Global Vision<\/h3>\n<p>In his address, <strong>Rev. Bro. Sirichai <\/strong>noted the achievements of Tsinghua SIGS as a key component of the university\u2019s \u201cSouthern Strategy,\u201d especially in promoting technological advancement and international cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School has achieved remarkable accomplishments in technological innovation and international educational cooperation,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, the two institutions could jointly develop an international talent cultivation system\u2026 to nurture high-caliber professionals with global perspectives.\u201d He also proposed the establishment of a <strong>China-Thailand joint graduate education mechanism<\/strong>, aiming to facilitate faculty and student exchanges, promote research collaboration, and achieve cross-cultural integration and innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Responding with enthusiasm, <strong>Professor Zuo Jian\u2019e<\/strong> welcomed the AU delegation and spoke of SIGS\u2019s strategic role in the <strong>Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to practical collaboration with AU in talent cultivation and scientific research innovation,\u201d he said, emphasizing both institutions\u2019 shared commitment to regional development and cross-border exchange.<\/p>\n<h3>Ideas in Action: Campus Tour and Key Outcomes<\/h3>\n<p>After the symposium, the delegation toured <strong>Tsinghua SIGS\u2019s International Building<\/strong>, inspecting state-of-the-art teaching and research spaces. The immersive visit deepened the AU delegation\u2019s understanding of SIGS\u2019s facilities and research capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>During these exchanges, both parties reached consensus on several action points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cooperative initiatives<\/strong> to facilitate outstanding Thai students studying in Shenzhen.<\/li>\n<li>Expansion of <strong>industrial training programs<\/strong> and cross-institutional collaboration.<\/li>\n<li>Joint exploration of <strong>collaborative master\u2019s and doctoral programs<\/strong>, especially in fields tied to regional innovation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Asst. Prof. Dr. Narong Aphiratsakun<\/strong>, Dean of AU\u2019s <strong>Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology<\/strong>, expressed strong admiration for the school\u2019s innovation capabilities and proposed collaboration in areas such as smart tech and interactive applications.<\/p>\n<h3>From Dialogue to Development<\/h3>\n<p>The meeting concluded with the <strong>exchange of commemorative gifts<\/strong> and a group photo, marking the beginning of what both parties anticipate will be a long-term academic partnership.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Asst. Prof. Dr. Kitti Phothikitti<\/strong>, Vice President of AU, summed up the significance of the exchange:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis cooperation not only benefits our institutions\u2019 development but will also serve as a model for academic collaboration among Belt and Road countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also present were <strong>Dr. Gao Li<\/strong>, Assistant Vice President of AU; <strong>Director Zhang Yi<\/strong>, Office of Global Affairs at Tsinghua SIGS; and <strong>Professor Chan Waikin<\/strong>, Institute of Data and Information.<\/p>\n<p>With formalities completed, what remains is the shared
