On November 30, 2024, BLNS faculty members <strong>Dr. Pimsiri Bhusiri<\/strong>, <strong>Dr. Chavalee Boonto<\/strong>, and <strong>Dr. Prapawan Praevanich<\/strong> conducted a health-focused session for 40 students, blending rabies education with activities designed to promote mental wellness and personal development.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row\"  id=\"row-2005277477\">\n\n\t<div id=\"col-55015896\" class=\"col medium-7 small-12 large-7\"  >\n\t\t<div class=\"col-inner\"  >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n<p><strong>Addressing Rabies: A Persistent Challenge in Thailand<\/strong><br \/>\nRabies remains a public health concern in Thailand, despite significant progress over the years. While human rabies deaths have decreased from hundreds annually in the 1980s to single digits in recent years, sporadic outbreaks still occur. The aim was to equip students with the understanding needed to protect themselves and their communities from this preventable but serious disease.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Promoting Mental Health and Growth<\/strong><br \/>\nBeyond rabies education, the faculty led activities to enhance mental health, emphasizing resilience, empathy, and personal development. This holistic approach addressed both physical and emotional well-being, ensuring participants left with practical knowledge and a renewed sense of confidence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Tradition of Community Service<\/strong><br \/>\nThis initiative exemplifies BLNS\u2019s mission to blend academic expertise with a deep sense of social responsibility.
